I am a full time mother to a two year old son. I have a total of three sons. My other two boys are from my husband's first marriage. We live in the Oklahoma city area. We are a military family. We have been here since 2003. He are not planning to leave OK as this has become our permanent home.
I am currently working on being licensed through OKDHS and working towards being a family child care provider for the military too. I can care for a couple children currently but will be licensed to take up to 7-12 children hopefully by August. I used to work for the American Red Cross in OKC part time but decided to stay home with my toddler.
We are in the Moore public school system if you have children who take the bus. I am also only a couple miles from Schwartz Elementary even though that is considered Midwest City school system.
I am able to take care of children from the ages of infancy to teenagers. I have daytime/evening services, flexible weekend services, and flexible overnight services.
I have been raising kids on and off all my life. I come from a large family with siblings ranging from 35 to 13 yrs old. Before I married, I was in school for a Physician Asst and was required to take Child Psychology, Child Development, Human Development, Sociology, and Family Sociology classes which I have completed. I also assisted in teaching EMT (emergency medical tech) classes after I was a certified EMT-B. I'm currently CPR/First Aid certified.
